Beginner 1A is an introductory course designed for complete beginners, offering an integrated approach to Korean language and culture. The course focuses primarily on oral communication using basic structures and vocabulary, while also incorporating Hangul reading and basic writing. Pattern drills are used to reinforce material from the main lectures.

A Sejong Institute Certificate of Completion will be provided to students who attend at least 70% of classes and achieve 60% or higher in the final exam.

What you will learn:

• Korean alphabet (Hangul)
• Introductions and greetings
• Basic verbs and asking questions (e.g. "Where are you going?")
• Korean numbering system and phone numbers
• Talking about locations
• Buying items at a shop

Who should apply?

This course is ideal for individuals with no or very limited knowledge of Korean who are interested in learning the Korean language and culture.

*Cancellation and Refund Policy

- A full refund will be given only if the course is cancelled by London Sejong Institute.

- If a student withdraws from the course, they must notify us in writing (by email) at least 5 working days before the start of the course to receive a full refund.

- If cancellation is made within 5 working days of the course start date but before the course begins, a 50% refund will be issued.

⁃ No refunds will be provided once the course has started, regardless of attendance or reason for withdrawal.

Beginner 1B builds on Beginner 1A and is suitable for students who can fluently read Hangul. The course continues an integrated approach to Korean language and culture, focusing on oral communication while expanding vocabulary and sentence structure.

A Sejong Institute Certificate of Completion will be provided to students who attend at least 70% of classes and achieve 60% or higher in the final exam.

What you will learn:

• Past and future tenses
• Adverbs of frequency
• Basic adjectives
• Weather and seasons
• Colours
• Expressions of intention
• Giving reasons

Who should apply?

This course is ideal for individuals who have completed Beginner 1A or have basic Korean knowledge, including Hangul reading and simple sentence patterns.

Beginner 2A builds upon the skills developed in Beginner 1B and introduces more sophisticated expressions and grammar patterns used in daily conversations. The course helps learners describe habits and routines, make requests politely, and communicate in practical situations such as ordering food or giving directions.

A Sejong Institute Certificate of Completion will be provided to students who attend at least 70% of classes and achieve 60% or higher in the final exam.

What you will learn:

• Giving recommendations
• Asking how someone is doing
• Asking and giving directions
• Talking about food and ordering
• Describing daily schedules and habits
• Talking about weather and activities
• Having phone conversations

Who should apply?

This course is ideal for individuals who have completed Beginner 1B or have equivalent experience with basic Korean grammar and vocabulary.

Intermediate 1A marks the beginning of intermediate-level learning and focuses on helping learners speak more naturally and confidently in daily situations. The course includes expressions for describing simultaneous actions, talking about abilities and experiences, setting and changing appointments, asking for permission, and expressing hopes. Practical speaking tasks and pattern-based grammar practice form the core of the lessons..

A Sejong Institute Certificate of Completion will be provided if learners attend above 70% of classes and achieve 60% in the final exam.

• Making and changing appointments
• Asking for permission
• Expressing hopes and preferences

Who should apply?
